The Wall Street – Photo Flash Fiction #FridayFotoFiction

Man reading newspaper

This is a second take on the same prompt. I wrote – The promise for this prompt, but got an idea for a better plot after publishing the first one.

This story is written as part of Friday Foto Fiction. It is a Weekly Blog Hop to celebrate fiction writing co-hosted by Tina & Mayuri. They give a photo prompt every week and participants need to write a flash fiction based on the photo in 100-150 words.

Peering through the news Harry made several notes in his diary while muttering under his breath what should be his next course of action. Dressed in his favourite suit, he looked dapper even with the frown on his forehead.

“This week is going to be super busy” he exclaimed as a man in white uniform approached him.

Harry instructed him to send his secretary immediately for his appointments of the day without looking up.

The man snatched the newspaper out of his hands and said “Go back to your bed as the Dr. is waiting to examine you. You haven’t been taking your medications for last 2 weeks. And for the thousandth time, you are not a successful businessman and this is not Wall Street, it’s a mental asylum.”

  1. Wall Street is like a mental asylum. Strangely, it’s said: Kill the business or be the business. I see Harry as a depiction of this phrase. A perspective.
    Thanks for the read Gayatri.
